BEFORE STARTING THERAPY, DO THIS:

Insurance & Reinbursement

We are an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t work with us — or with any provider who operates outside of insurance networks.

If you’re familiar with your out-of-network benefits and know how much your plan reimburses for therapy, you may still be eligible for partial reimbursement of your sessions.

Once you have that information, you're no longer limited to only seeing providers within your insurance network — you can choose to work with the therapist who truly feels like the right fit.

To support this process, we’ll provide you with a monthly “superbill,” which includes all the documentation you’ll need to submit a claim to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

What to ask when you call your insurance company:

  1. Can I get any money back if I see a therapist who isn’t in-network?
(specify that this is an "out-of-network mental/behavioral health therapist")

  2. Do I need to get a referral to start therapy?

  3. Are there any rules or limits to me accessing psychotherapy that I should know about?

  4. How much do I have to pay out of my own pocket before my plan starts helping with the costs?

  5. When I send you the receipts, how much will you pay me back for these appointment types:

    • Initial Intake Assessment (Code 90791)

    • Individual Psychotherapy Session (Code 90834)

  6. Is there a set limit on what you’ll consider a fair price for therapy sessions with a licensed psychologist located in the zip code 30306?

At Insight & Dynamics Psychotherapy, we understand that financial situations vary — and sometimes, the need for support doesn’t align with the ability to pay. That’s why we include a conversation about finances during our free 15-minute consultation call. It gives us the chance to better understand your circumstances and determine whether you qualify for a sliding scale fee.

We also believe therapy is one of the most meaningful investments you can make — in your growth, your well-being, and your future. Our goal is to help make that investment feel accessible, so you can focus on the work that fosters real insight, healing, and lasting change.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

Disclaimer

This Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of services that are reasonably expected for the expected services to address your mental health care needs. The estimate is based on the information known to us when we did the estimate.

The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur. If this happens, federal law allows you to dispute (appeal) the bill.

If you are billed for $400 more (per provider) than this Good Faith Estimate (GFE), you have the right to dispute the bill

You may contact us to let us know the billed charges are at least $400 higher than the GFE. You can ask to update the bill to match the GFE, ask to negotiate the bill, or ask if there is financial assistance available.

You may also start a dispute resolution process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). If you choose to use the dispute resolution process, you must start the dispute process within 120 calendar days (about 4 months) of the date on the original bill.

There is a $25 fee to use the dispute process. If the agency reviewing your dispute agrees with you, you will have to pay the price on this GFE. If the agency disagrees with you and agrees with the health care provider or facility, you will have to pay the higher amount.
